Remember The Titans

 

           My favorite scene from the movie "Remember The Titans"

The scene I chose is when all the players are in the dressing room and they are losing. It's their last game of the season, they're playing to win a very important title. It's very tense because they are losing so nobody is celebrating. All the players are sad, they think they are going to lose.

Then the coach Boone enters the dressing room and speaks, he has a speech that I think is great. He manages to find the right words. If I were in their place, the players, I couldn't have received a better speech from my coach than that one. His speech was "we will fight, you are all already doing your best. I see it, I know it. Winner, loser, each of you will leave the stadium with your heads held high. Knock yourselves out, give it your all!!!".

The cameraman first showed all the players looking sad, then zoomed in on the coach as he spoke. It was the centre of attention, everyone was listening to him.

This scene has a great impact on the end of the game. After the coach, their captain spoke up to also motivate the team and the two together made the whole team feel motivated. Thanks to that, they went back on the field with the rage, the desire to win,...

My opinion on this scene is that it proves that having a good coach or coaches is very important in a team. The coach has to make very important decisions, so he has to know the sport itself well, but that's not all. A good coach is not only someone who knows the sport very well and has all the right tactics. A good coach is also someone who knows how to motivate his team, someone who has the right words. He also has to be able to listen to his players and help them. So he has a very important role, but not the only one. Afterwards, the captain also spoke and he spoke very well. The choice of the captain is also important.
